A crucial component in Asclepian Medicine: Yeast and Hygiene

Working Hypothesis

Yeast based applications were used in Asclepian Medicine to promote well-being and to prevent infections

Facts & Findings

Hygieia, daughter of Asclepius, did welcome all guests/patients at the entrance to the sanctuary. Before guests/patients were allowed to enter, they needed to give away their clothes, were completely washed with aromatic water and dressed in white linen. Afterwards they had to drink a bowl which contained goat milk and yeast. They were instructed to drink one bowl every day in the morning as long as they are inside the sanctuary. Furthermore, all guests/patients had to keep a distance of 5 feet to each other while in the sanctuary.

Conclusion

Hygieia gave name to our nowadays word “Hygiene”. The procedures are very logical and make sense. The milk-yeast drink is of interest since it seemed to have full body benefits.

Modern Application

Hundreds of clinical studies have shown that the active ingredient in yeast, 1-3,1-6 Betaglucan, stimulates the innate immune system and thereby improves our “Immune Health” and prevents against all kind of infections. Some studies show a positive effect in connection with Cancer, Autoimmune Diseases, HIV and many more.

It seems to be important that the 1-3,1-6 Betaglucan structure is intact and that it is applied at the right dosage and in a proper on-off rhythm. We recommend the following product for todays use:  LINK

Anecdotes

a) It is interesting that Asclepius instructed the use of goat milk but prohibited the use of bovine milk. Nobel laureate Harald zur Hausen and his team showed that a virus-like particle inside bovine milk (BMMFs) induces cancer, type 2 diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases. How did Asclepius know?

B) 5 feet are about 152cm. During the COVID-19 times our governments installed a safety distance of 150cm in order to protect people from infecting each other with the virus. How did Asclepius know?
